Preschool Music Program
About the Music Lessons
This is an original and creative program to teach rhythm and notes quickly and efficiently! I have learned that the blocks, being visual, help the children learn how to make their own rhythms very easily. It’s also a fabulous way to introduce what a Bar is in music.
We use sol-fa, invented by Sarah Ann Glover (1785-1867), to help children learn aural skills, pitch and sight reading. I also added in body movements to go along.
Moving our bodies along with singing helps us absorb and understand the lesson quickly and effectively.
By the end of the program, children will understand and recognize a written scale on the board, as well as be able to make their own Bar of music!

Do you remember how important music was to you as a child?
So many people feel that they would have loved to be able to commit to music at a much younger age and have it as something they pursued as a passion for their whole lives. I hear so many people say that if they could go back and do things differently they would have had their parents make sure they were schooled from the word go and things might have turned out differently.
This program is made especially for the Preschool Mind. Lots of repetition and short! Only 20 minutes so we end on a good 'note'. (Pun intended)
Your role is to sit with your child and enjoy the squeals and giggles that come from your wee one. I may be teaching Preschoolers, but I make sure that parents have just as much fun!
